What's the difference between brass and pure copper.
The material is different: brass is an alloy composed of copper, zinc and some other metals, of which the zinc content is generally less than 33 percent. And pure copper without the addition of other metals.

Different performance: the specific strength, hardness and corrosion resistance of brass are higher than that of pure copper. And the processing performance of brass is superior, easy to cast and process into various shapes, so it is widely used in the manufacture of all kinds of mechanical parts, valves, water taps and so on. Pure copper is widely used in wires, electrical equipment, pipes and building decoration because of its high electrical conductivity and good thermal conductivity.

Different uses: due to the different content of brass, its properties are also different, according to the different zinc content to prepare brass for specific occasions. For example, brass with a zinc content of less than 10%, which is more flexible, is used in making music equipment and manufacturing instruments; Brass with a zinc content of 33 to 40 percent is widely used in the manufacture of Marine parts, automotive parts, and so on. Pure copper is mainly used in high-precision electrical parts, architectural decoration and art production.
